Today I talk about self talk mutilation, and try to encourage you to see yourself as other people see you...beautiful!

Hi Bunny. I just started reading/seeing your v/blog. Thank you so much for this message. It brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't tell you how many times in one day I self-mutilate with words... it's like a constant stream of thought. But, hearing that sometimes it's as simple as saying "No thank you. I am not going to participate in this conversation anymore because I'm trying to focus on being happy," makes me feel so hopeful.

I agree in principle with your not wanting to talk to the angry woman next to you on the plane, but I can't get behind your flouting the "no cell phones on during takeoff" safety precaution. That rule is in place for a reason, and I can't believe you'd want to jeopardize everyone's safety just so you could read your tweets. It may have made you happy, but your act was inconsiderate to that entire plane. Other folks may have dying for a smoke right about then, but there are rules they have to follow, too.

Don't get me wrong, Bunny. I adore your blog, root for you on your journey, and think you are one of the funniest, most engaging women I've ever listened to. It just seems so out of character for you to focus on your own happiness and act as though basic rules don't always apply to you.

Maybe you feel you couldn't turn off your phone because that would have let that angry woman "win". Could there have been a way to turn off your phone and still refuse to buy into her negative energy? It's something to think about...

anonymous, the ban on cell phone use has been a hot topic for debate for almost 5 years now. And while I don't want to derail this conversation into whether cell phone signals interfere with airplane navigation, it's my understanding that they interfere more with cellular networks on the ground than have anything to do with flight safety. There is plenty of information online about it.

In general, I am a rule follower. But yes, there are times when I buck the rules, and honestly, I'm okay with that. I guess the polite rebel in me could have turned my ringer off. And if the flight attendant would have asked me to turn it off, I certainly would have. I don't feel it necessary to make everyone around me happy all the time. If I did, I'd never get any rest.

I was wondering when you were going to plug that word into your videos. I love how you framed it today. And Bunny - you look ravishing today - you have the glow girl!!

On the negative thinkingissue - one new way to stop it is to wear a rubber band on your arm and snap your self and say stop everytime a negative comment or thought pops up. (I just read this in Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor - Kris Carr's newest book)
