PEAS ON EARTH CHALLENGE- CONGRATULATIONS!!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who made it through the Peas on Earth Holiday Challenge! This has been one of the most challenging months in years for me, emotionally, and I know that without this amazing community of support, I would have eaten my way through chocolate cake and brownies faster than I could make them. While my holidays haven't been exactly raw, I continue to learn about my relationship with food, and that is where the battle begins for me.

Since November 15th, I have made new friends on Raw Fu, and continued to forge my friendships with those of you who have been here since the beginning. Thank you. I never imagined that 2008 would end this way. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

Over the next week, I will be working on the upcoming 100 Day Raw Fu Challenge and on the site. New challenge begins on January 1, 2009. Some of you may also be planning to Juice Feast. http://www.juicefeasting.com/ You're welcome to share your experiences on Raw Fu, too! I'm hoping to have the Rainosheks join us as celebrity Raw Fu guests during the upcoming challenge, and I am planning to do weekend juice feasting during my next 100 days.

You don't need to do anything to join the next challenge, just continue to visit the site, and participate in the forums! Set your goals here: http://tinyurl.com/996owg and stay tuned. I've got some exciting new things planned for the upcoming challenge.

RAW FU PEAS ON EARTH CHALLENGE- Holiday Food

I wanted to show you a sampling of the food that we had at the Raw Fu Holiday party. Small raw lasagna bites, green salad with pears, blueberry pie, cherry cobbler, fruit salad. Oh yes, us raw foodists are so deprived, aren't we?

Pictures of raw food were definitely important to me when I was exploring if raw food was going to be the right lifestyle for me. Once I saw that the food could be more than just a glorified veggie tray, I got excited to start creating recipes.

Instead of YouTube, spend some time today on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com and search "raw food". I think you might just get inspired! And when your friends and family ask about what you eat on a raw food diet, share pictures with them like the one from the holiday party. :)

I have spent the day reading, studying, wrapping my brain around what direction I want my life to go. Enjoying the questions. When I got home yesterday, the boys had the Christmas tree up. From the window, I drove up and saw pretty multi-colored twinkling lights. Then when I got inside, I could see that the lights were only on the part of the tree that you could see from the street. The bottom of the tree was still bare, and dark. It made me laugh, and reminded me of walking behind the set of a theater scene.

The boys were so happy to see me. Beckett slept on my pillow along with me last night, and even though I was cramped and kept having dreams about falling off the bed, I was so happy to have him near me.

Sneak Peek with Frank Giglio

Frank's class was very inspirational yesterday, and here is a little sneak peek of what the class was like. I am actually still in Dallas. Since my flight plans changed, I'm flying out tomorrow. Another day at Chez Angela. Basil, I promise I am coming home. But the food, and the bamboo sheets, and the kids who sit and do their homework, it's kinda of nice here.

Oh, and the fireplace. And of course, Dixie, my new favorite dog.

I hope you guys are having a great day. Things are brewing around here, and I'm getting very excited about the future! Lining up the Raw Fu celebrities for the next challenge. :)

Peas on Earth Day 26- Towel Head

Today I talk about how sometimes when you're sad or mourning, you just want people to make food and bring it to you. And aren't people always super willing to make food and bring it to you?

And yes, I just got out of the shower. I was working hard all day trying to get Daddy Bear a portfolio put together online. www.basilberrydesign.com

See you in Dallas!

Holiday Crafty

Holiday Crafty, originally uploaded by darnlucky.

I'm making holiday crafty rice socks to take to friends in Dallas this weekend. They're not only cute, and can be heated up to use as a stress reliever, but I've been adding different aromatherapy to each one.

From left to right: Orange/Tangerine Pick Me Up, Night Night Owl, and Lavendar Lilypads

Peas on Earth Challenge Day 24- Dunkin Donuts & Unemployment Office

Well, well, hasn't today been fun? I applied for jobs, grocery shopped, tried to diffuse Raw Fu forum drama, closed two threads, and went to the unemployment office. Out of all of those events, I can honestly say the unemployment office was the highlight of the day!

Peas on Earth- DIY Rice Socks

Today I show you how to create a DIY gift for yourself or for friends and family this holiday season. You know how stressed I've been, but ever since I created the orange/tangerine rice sock, nothing can get me down.

I predict I'll have a television show within 7-10 days now that I've I'm this freaking relaxed.

On the video I create a pumpkin pie spice rice sock. Great for the holidays, but I have to admit, not my favorite.

To make Bunny's Orange Spice Sock use an entire box of Celestial Seasonings Orange/Tangerine herbal tea as the aromatherapy. Cut some bags open to mix them with the rice, and then stuff others into the sock whole. Heaven on Earth. You might actually feel like the picture on the box of the Celestial Seasonings tea. Seriously. It's that good.

Now, I know a lot of you raw foodists don't have microwaves. Maybe you could heat your rice sock up in the sun. Or leave it in the dehydrator for a week or so to warm it up.

Peas on Earth Challenge Day 20- Oh, Heidi!

Today I'm wearing pink in my hair for my raw friend Heidi. And you need to check out her Christmas eBook. Show Heidi some raw food love. We've both had a hell of a week. http://rawfoodrightnow.blogspot.com/

I have not been making the best raw choices since I lost my job. I've got to slap myself back to reality. My face is puffy. And I'm going to Dallas, and will be face to face with raw food hunk, Frank Giglio in a WEEK! http://www.rawfoodfrank.com Luckily, I'm beautiful, puffy face and all. :)

But I'm going on a hot date with my husband tonight, so no complaints here. Big LOVE!

Peas on Earth Day 19- Holiday Party Details

Today I talk about the upcoming Raw Fu Holiday Party! It's right around the corner on December 14th. Please RSVP in the Events section if you are going to be watching the Holiday Party video, and would like to have your name added to Santa Bunny's list!

If you are going to be in the Dallas area on the 14th, message momsraw or rubyvroom and let them know you'd like to come elf it up with us! I'll be making Bunny Spice Smoothies for everyone. :)

On December 15th, I will be going to see Frank Giglio chef it up in a 6 hour raw food class, and I cannot wait!

Peas on Earth Day 18- Marinated Collard Salad

If the YouTube video ever processes, you can watch a delightful uncooking demo!

I am back in the kitchen today, giving you a little Cutting Board Cam love. The collards in my garden are growing like gang busters. Actually, everything is doing really well, thanks to Basil's ingenious cold frame. Today I had a red leaf lettuce salad with radishes straight from the garden, and then came in to make this yummy organic collard salad. You can see the little rabbit nibbles in my leaves.

Get Some Sleep!

Wow. I finally crashed. I went to bed at around 8pm last night, and woke up at 5pm this evening. All of the stress, anxiety, and feelings of complete helplessness were gone after my body finally got a good rest.

Try to get an extra hour of sleep this week. It will do your body wonders!

I'm Back. Now, Where Were We?

It's the beginning of a brand new month, and the beginning of a brand new path for me. Today I headed to the health food store to stock up on a few all natural stress relievers. I've had the entire weekend to process the events of last week, and I have to tell you that I am genuinely EXCITED about this huge wake up call in my life. I am making big plans to make wonderful things happen in my future, and no more sitting back on my laurels! The time is NOW!

Over the weekend, I did have the opportunity to do a Breakfast with Bunny call. You'll have to listen to the great interview I did with langelbleu. I had a great time on the call, and got to learn more about the interesting HCG protocol that she has been doing over the summer. Check the interview out here: http://tinyurl.com/56t85u

Also, the PEAS TEES are finally available for order! ORDER YOUR TEE SHIRT BY DECEMBER 9th! Since we do the printing locally, we have to put all of the orders in at once, so any orders in after the 9th might not make the print run. Go here to ORDER: http://www.bunnyberry.etsy.com

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR GETTING ME THROUGH THIS CHALLENGE. And for those of you who have donated to Raw Fu, I cannot tell you how much that means to me. Words can't express. I'll be using the donations for future Raw Fu enhancements, and projects! It's just going to get better and better!
