Day 84 of 100 Day Raw Food Challenge- Rough Week

Today I divulge that it has been a rough week for raw food. I think I got into holiday mode with the short 4th of July week, but I did way more snacking on junk food than I imagined I'd be doing at this point in the challenge.

Not discouraged, though. I'm back on track, and looking forward to a clean week of raw living.

I'm glad that warden let you out, he seemed like a tough customer! I'm so excited about August 1. Tomorrow, I'm starting a phase in program. I'll ramble about it on my blog if you want to see what I'm up to. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi Bunny,

Just saw your post about Whole Foods! Shop the bulk section Sha and I love it because you can get just the amount you need. I'd say they must have like 40 different items.

Hi Bunny,

I hear ya, we just want to have a little fun during holiday time and that usually involves....food. I will confess that I had 8 blue corn tortilla chips yesterday! For shame! I also had a delicious black bean, corn, tomato concoction. I was at a cook out and I did bring a big spinach salad AND a fruit salad, but other people's food always looks more fun. I'm fine with it, I DID NOT have a burger or a hot dog or dessert.

We are eating much better than we used to. We don't have anything to be ashamed of girlfriend.

Keep on keepin' on,

Viv

You are doing great. This is normal. You are not alone. Shockingly, I gave up chips two weeks ago. I still want one. I pray there's a raw/dehydrated recipe!!!!! :o)

Oh my, I totally know where you're at, 'cos I'm there too! I just posted about 'falling off the wagon' and hauling myself back on it. It's all about not feeling guilty, accepting you made some less-than-optimal choices and moving on. No point dwelling on it, as that just stirs up the guilt-trip mindset which is so negative and unhelpful.
I'm making some Teriyaki Almonds, from the Cafe Gratitude recipe book, in case I get the urge to snack this week. If you haven't tried them before, they're delicious! (You need a dehydrator or a low-temp oven.)
So, good luck getting back on track.

And I had wine and enjoyed that too. No seriously we went to Red White and Boom in downtown Columbus and of course there were no raw food options, just lots of free alcohol :0) Since I couldn't eat burgers or hot dogs, I had some wine. I started blogging, so that I have a way of keeping record of what I eat when I join you on your next 100 Day Raw Food Challenge. Can't wait.

I'm feeling the rough feeling today too. I am such a festive little holiday foodie girl. I made lots of raw offerings for my family and they made plenty of cooked offerings to tempt me. I know it's life, but I gotta get that loving raw feeling back ASAP. Just bought 4 kinds of leafy greens at the store...can you say salad and juice for Ruby this week??

It will be easier to stay focused when we're all working together as a group on August 1!

With our fearless leader Bunny, we will be a force to be reckoned with!

Carbporn, we don't need no stickin' carbporn!

Dang, it's supposed to be "we don't need no STINKIN' carbporn"

you know, from that movie with the banditios.

or how about

"I pity the dorito that stands between me and my raw foods"

A chip here, a nilla wafer there. Well, I meant to be all Raw while my best friend from college was here visiting over the weekend. I even picked out Raw options from online restaurant menus before going out to eat. Even the best laid plans fall apart though. I ended up eating a half order of tostones (green plantains squashed and DEEP fried), because the Cuban place was literally out of all Raw veggies except lettuce!

Don't worry. We'll all be back on Raw and just fine!

First time writing in but have been reading for a bit. Actually working on my own blog YEAH....

Anyhow...went to raw restaurant in NYC on Saturday and gym but Sunday came and I sucked out. Some noodles with my kids, tortilla chips and a bit of chocolate....Dont know what was on my loopy mind after 5 months of working so hard!!!!!

Just got to get back on track today and cannot wait to be part of August 1...

Like I'm always saying, Bunny: Eating the cooked foods while going/being raw is all just part of your path. I love that you are just continuing on! You RAWk!!

Lots of love to you,

Wendi
