my dad used to use baking soda and water... don't know if you have tried it. good luck!
I'm so sorry you have heartburn. I do think sara beth had a good idea w/ the baking soda. Other than that, maybe a shot of vodka? That'd just be a new and different kind of burn though, right?! Obviously, I am in need of a 100 day raw food challenge.
The last time I had pineapple my husband had heartburn for like 6 days! He had to give in and take some medicine. Sorry, I don't know of any remedies!
just found your blog. inspirational.
sorry about the heartburn.
aww bunny. sorry about the heartburn. definitely gulp down some water!!
you look wonderful, as always :)
see ya on RawFu!
I've heard a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar can help with heart burn.

Congrats on 88 days!!!!!!! WOW!!! The time has flow by. I've been with you from the beginning, Bunny...started on YouTube watching you. :-) You are a glowing example of working toward a goal.
As for the pineapple, I can tell you my experiences. I absolutely LOVE pineapples. They are my number one food obsession right now. I have at least one a day (well, it's shared so I have about 1/3 of one a day). The only time I had heartburn from pineapples was when they weren't organic. I've (knock-on-wood) never gotten heartburn from an oraganic one. However, when I was doing a mono meal diet, my stomach was kind of burning (not heart burn, though) during the 24 hours of only pineapple. Now I blend them with bananas and they are LOVELY! I am in love, love, love with pineapples. If you can get a truly ripe organic one, maybe try it again and see how you feel?
YES!!! Bunny, you are the BEST!! I keep thinking it would be more fun to do a group chat rather than little snippets on Twitter together. A group room for chatting would be AWESOME, Bunny!!!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to you figuring it out for us! You RAWk!!!
I hope your heartburn goes away quickly.
Lots of love to you,
Wendi
XOXOXO
Bunny, are you familiar with the principles of food-combining at all? If not, check it out! It might explain what happened, and for myself I totally know it makes a difference.
Here is a simplified chart to get you started, and I know you know how to do your research from there!

I agree about the dilution ... makes a lot of sense. Also try papaya pills (natural enzymes) ... I know that works for a lot of people. I have not experienced heartburn for about a year now ... since eating more raw foods and somewhat eliminating entirely "white" foods ... ie. white bread and pasta. I had it bad, but now I know most of my triggers. DeCaf and regular coffee (bad), nuts and fruits together, too much chocolate (is that possible?) and larger amounts mints. Also it takes me a month or two for my gastric issues to not be so sensitive ... so if you stay away from your heartburn inducing foods, maybe later you can have them periodically. Sorry it is pineapple cause that is tasty stuff.
I saw ACV already mentioned above. It may seems counterintuitive to take something acidic to alleviate heartburn, however what I understand is that often heartburn comes because the body is not producing enough hydrochloric acid to digest foods properly and
1 tsp of Braggs ACV in a cup of water with a dollop of raw honey acts as a digestive aid and for some reason seems to neutralize the burn.
Also Victoria Boutenko speaks about how most of us SAD raised adults do not produce enough digestive acids and that green smoothies are one of the best ways to help restore our ability to make stomach acids. Also making sure your swish/chew your smoothies so that you are getter the digestive enzymes from your saliva to help start the digestive process really helps too.
BTW thank you for creating RAW FU!
I had to listen to the original Kung Fu Fighting 3 times in a row after seeing your vlog yesterday. I LOVE that song!

sorry for the double post I was trying to edit it and it posted twice instead.
hi bunny! just added you on my blogroll! used to have heartburn all the time which doctors told me was a old person's disease. an effective way to get rid of it i find is taking alkaline things, like cucumber juice which immediately cools it. no spicy and no citrus. also minty things. hope that helps!
What a bummer about the pineapple giving you heartburn! That would make me so crabby! Hope you're feeling better now.
Hi Bunny!
Have you heard about chia seeds for heartburn? Angela Stokes' article about chia mentions this:
"One woman we know uses chia therapeutically to manage her acid reflux. Because of the highly absorbent properties of chia, she can swallow a Tbsp of dry seeds with just a little water and they go into her stomach and absorb the excess acid. She makes sure to drink a glass of water a few minutes later, as the seeds are so hydrophilic that if they do not find enough to absorb in the stomach, they will draw from the tissues instead. By allowing the seeds to first absorb the acid, then drinking some more water, our friend is able to very simply, effectively and cheaply handle her condition."

Good luck!
An interesting aside . . . .
Did you know that raw pineapple is a leading recommened CURE for heartburn?
