I couldn't really get out of bed today. I'm not okay. I needed time to rest.

Peas on Earth Holiday Challenge Day 8
Revvell posted this on Twitter yesterday, and I have been laughing about it ever since. I think it is perfect reminder for our first 10 days of Gratitude.
Basil and I had a garage sale today, which was a total bust. But we did get to spend some good quality time together, while Beckett was visiting my mom, and I was more relaxed than I have been in months. It might sound sad that a garage sale was our big date for the week, but it was just the two of us sitting in the yard, talking and laughing. That is my favorite kind of date.
I totally blew it, and missed Breakfast with Bunny this morning with rebeccaj. She is gracious and kind, and is letting me reschedule for tomorrow. I'll let you know when and where.

PEAS ON EARTH HOLIDAY CHALLENGE DAY 5- Family
Ahhh, family. As I write this, Beckett is on the naughty step, Gizmo just got kicked outside for peeing in my office, and poor Basil is on Mr. Mom duty again while I work. For most of us, life with family is a delicate balance of having it all, and having a total nuclear meltdown any second. Kiss the ones you love, and pass the kombucha!
My back is feeling better today, although I'm feeling quite a bit wimpy for not being able to walk a measly two miles without winding up in bed because of my herniated disc. I have to remember that this is a long distance lifestyle. 6 months ago I couldn't walk farther than the mailbox. And this week I have walked 3 miles. So, progress!
Kick up your boots, and sing it Bocephus style for a minute. I'm Southern bred, biscuit fed, and in full blown recovery.

Peas On Earty Day 4: Bunny is in Bed
I have a herniated disc in my back, but I really want to add simple walking to my exercise routine. My second venture out, I walked 2.2 miles, and WHAMO left me in bed.

Peas on Earth Day 2: Most Important Tool in Raw Food Kitchen
Today I talk about the most important tool in my raw food kitchen. You might think it's my Vitamix, but it's not.
What is your favorite way to work out your brain? I love reading, puppetry, and graphic design. How about you?

Looking at these two pictures together, it makes me furious that none of the doctors that I was going to at the time could see that I was clearly sick. After 6 months of being pretty well gluten and sugar free, I have lost 30 pounds, have zero acid reflux, and the dermatitis herpetiformis (uh, itchy rash) that I've had for 15+ years is completely gone.
I still experience some joint pain and inflammation if I eat something with gluten in it, like a commercial salad dressing. But WOW! I can't believe I used to feel like that every single day. Progress, progress, progress.

Congratulations, everyone! The Peas on Earth Holiday Challenge has officially begun. Thank you for coming along on this holiday challenge. We are going to have a lot of fun, and get healthier!
This morning I did the first Breakfast With Bunny interview with Raw Fu member, rubyvroom. We talked about juice feasting, enema bags as holiday gifts, and eyebrows. You can check that interview out here. http://www.rawfu.com/2008/11/15/breakfast-with-bunny-penni-shelton/
I also started a thread around our workbook topic for today, and I would love to know what YOU think your best feature is: http://raw100.ning.com/forum/topics/what-is-your-best-feature
I have been working on getting everybody up for the Raw Fu Holiday Craft Fair, and updating the Challenger Website list. Everything should be up and finished by Monday. I'm excited to start shopping for some of the gifts on my list and support our Raw Fu family at the same time. Thank you to everyone who is participating. If you have an online store, please respond on this thread, and I will add your shop to the craft fair list: http://raw100.ning.com/forum/topics/holiday-craft-fair-take-2
