ANDRE'S REVENGE DAY 16- When Raw Food Goes Wrong

As a budding raw foodist, I can tell you that what comes out of your kitchen is not always going to be pretty. Or edible. Come along. Experience when raw food goes wrong. And go ahead, let it out. I know you have a raw food gone wrong story.

Talk to me, baby.

HOW IS YOUR DAY 16 GOING?

HA HA HA, you are too funny! But, boy, you were speaking the truth! I can't eat anything cold that I used to eat hot...it makes me gag! For example, raw lasagna, raw chili, raw mashed potatoes with raw gravy. I'm sorry but the EX (dehydrator) does not "warm" things enough for me. I used to think that everyone that posted "cold" recipes that "should" be "hot" were lying! LOL! Now it doesn't matter. I won't touch anything that is cold that should be warm. It "might" taste good, but just the fact that it is cold makes me gag. Good thing I used to LOVE cold SAD pizza huh? Ü

Hi Bunny Berry! I hear you on the 'raw food goes wrong' subject... last week I tried to make fermented seed cheese... I don't think I have to say more...
But one of my favorite things to drink is a banana-hempseed-spirulina smoothie, mmm. Give it a try, it's delicious and it won't turn out black : )

Ugh, I am trying to make my way through a similar looking smoothie today (blueberry, strawberry, kale, avocado, and spirulina). I don't mind what it looks like at all, but the avocado wasn't ripe enough to blend properly so the texture is just really, really wrong. Bleck.

Thankyou for sharing your smoothy horror story hehe. Yesterday I made a green smoothy, but somehow managed to get some plastic packaging in the blender (how???I have no idea...it's bananas and spinach).

Hi Bunny, you are hilarious, but it is sooo true!

I struggle to make raw food that my whole family likes (4 kids are hard to please on the best of days...). My 6 year old girl is so sweet. She really understands how I feel when no one likes what I make.

Once, I made a green smoothie and gave it to the kids (we have to make them in batches to have enough for everyone). The kids were gagging and making faces about it and my girl looked at me with the sweetest face and said, "I like it, Mommy!" and drank it up. I just didn't understand why the others didn't drink it...ours from the second batch was yummy. After I drank some from my son's cup, and had to stop myself from spitting it out immediately, I knew why! Who knows what went wrong, but to this day I think of my little girl sooo bravely drinking that disgusting smoothie just to make me feel better!!

Yes, sometimes it just goes very wrong!
